It is important to place the Catholic cemetery within the Catholic burial tradition. That tradition flows out of fundamental tenets of the Catholic faith that include:
the dignity of each individual human person;
the importance of Baptism into the faith;
the reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ;
the promise of Jesus that His followers will share eternal life;
the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass uniting us to the Cross and our expression of adoration, thanksgiving, petition and supplication.
Located on the corner of Middle Road and Railroad Street in Milton, Vermont, the St. Ann Cemetery is maintained by St. Ann Church under the administration of the Cemetery Committee. (The first meeting of the committee was held in 1929). Previously only containing burial plots, a Columbarium area was erected in 2018 under the direction of Fr. John G. Feltz.
The Cemetery's main source of income is derived from the purchase of grave sites and columbarium niches and donations from the parishioners of St. Ann. These funds are placed in a perpetual care fund to ensure the up keep of the cemetery for years to come.
If you are interested in more information and details about purchasing a plot or niche, please see the pamphlets below and contact Fr. Curtis at the Rectory.
